Initial Care After Installation
Avoid Touching: Allow the film to settle and cure for at least 24 hours post-installation. Refrain from touching it, even if you notice initial bubbling, as this should disappear during curing. Note that low temperatures and high humidity may extend the curing time. Skip the Wash: It’s best to avoid washing your car or driving it, if possible, while the film is settling and curing. If driving is unavoidable, be careful not to apply pressure on the film to prevent settling issues.
Mindful Cleaning Practices
Avoid Commercial Car Washes: To protect your film’s longevity, avoid commercial car washes.
Use the Right Materials: Do not use brushes, terry cloth, or paper products, as these can dull or damage the film, promptly Remove Debris: Immediately remove dead bugs, bird droppings, and dirt to prevent permanent stains, especially paying attention to the film’s edges.
Avoid Abrasives: Never use abrasive materials.
Gentle Washing: Use car wash soap with a clean microfiber mitt. Soak stubborn spots in the soap for several minutes. For tough spots, consider using 99% isopropyl alcohol. Dry the film using a microfiber towel.
Quality Products:
Invest in high-quality car wash soap without harsh chemicals. Ensure your microfiber mitt is designed for auto care. If you choose to wax the film, ensure it’s free of Naphtha or Kerosene with a concentration of over 5%, and avoid waxes with dyes
